Sarah and Josh, longtime renters, purchased their first home in 2021.  A spacious Mediterranean, it lacked a roomy kitchen.  In the previous design, the kitchen was bisected by a large peninsula. We added two sets of French doors and a large window, as well as a big, roomy island.  The leafy wallpaper enhances the feeling of sitting in a sunny garden.  

The moody blue dining room gives a very different feel, dark and cozy.  The bee wallpaper in the powder room was a particular request of Sarah's.  The bee is the symbol of her hometown-Manchester, England.  I often thought of this project as,"England comes to Southern California".
