JP and Valerie are newlyweds who wanted to turn JP's bachelor house into a family home.  A second story was added, and everything updated or replaced.  The kitchen was relocated to the rear of the house, with a retractable wall, allowing them to take full advantage of the courtyard in back.  It was fun to balance exuberance with sophistication and help them to create their very fun, grown up home.  We used handpainted Malibu tiles in the kitchen and went for a 1930's look in the bathrooms, with tile wainscot up the walls. This project began in March 2020, but still, despite the pandemic, construction took just about a year.
